weekly! While there are many facets to

Argentine Tango—the music and the
culture being
among the most prominent—it is the
dance that
brings most of us together. The Tango is
a social
and participant’s dance and is for
everyone to learn
and enjoy, regardless of dance

membership has people from all walks of
life, and
has probably 20 or more countries

social dance in the Dallas Metroplex

professional). Consistent with this
mission, TAD
organizes events that emphasize
spontaneity and
personal improvisation, which are the
key elements
of the genuine Argentine tango as
danced in the
clubs and salons of Buenos Aires. The

Affairs of
the City of Dallas, sponsors monthly
milongas
(tango parties), workshops taught by
Argentine
instructors, and Argentine tango

| The Capital Tangueros is a community of
Tango dancers who are dedicated to the
growth of Argentine Tango in the greater
Washington D.C. area. We do this
by "spreading the word" - our major
activity is sharing information on Tango
with a weekly newletter containing local
events.
The Capital Tangueros' goal is to provide
the most complete information available.
To do this, we need the help of local
organizers. PLEASE send us your events
by Monday evening for inclusion in that
week's email. The only restriction is that
the event must be on Argentine Tango
dance, music or history, and occur within
the greater Washington, DC area
(including Baltimore). Incomplete
information will not be published in our
weekly newsletter. The Capital
